One to One Classes

I offer one to one tuition in your own home. That way you can feel comfortable in your own surroundings and I can help you improve your skills. Wether you are a total beginner or have the basic skills I can help you move on to the next level. I will adapt any class to suit your needs and requirements so you can get the most out of the time I spend with you. I can teach anything from icing a cake to making sugarpaste flowers. In a standard one-to-one beginners class I can show you how to ice and decorate two cakes and make some flowers, that way you could probably tackle most projects. But if you would rather learn something else then we can work on that instead. ie. If you wanted to spend the day decorating biscuits or cupcakes then we can do just that. The choice is yours.
Classes are for 6 hours normally from 10am to 4pm (but I am flexible). You can stop for lunch (time is added onto your class) but we can work through if required.
Unfortunately included in the price I can only travel in areas of Kent and Surrey, I am able to travel further but a fuel charge will be added to the cost of your class. Please note I will need a parking space.
(All cakes and biscuits made at a beginners class with no previous experience – except hat box which requires some experience)

Beautiful Cupcakes Class
Join me to make beautiful cupcakes that will impress your friends and family. This class will include instruction on making butter cream and royal icing, plus showing you how to make simple yet stunning decorations for your cupcakes. Cakes covered are ladybirds, pigs in mud, bugs, butterflies, roses and hearts. You will also have plenty of time to try out some designs of your own where I will give you some one to one help.
This class for absolute beginners to anyone who has some experience in decorating cakes. You will make at least 10 cupcakes that your family wont believe you actually made yourself, in fact they will lbe convinced you stopped at the local bakers on the way home.
Everything in your class is provided including pre-made cupcakes, icings, colourings and use of all my tools. All you need to have is an apron.
£110 (3 hour class)
Teddy Bears Picnic
Join me for this really fun class where you can make a Teddy Bears Picnic cake. You will get full instruction on buttercream and royal icing before icing your cake. Then you will turn your basic round cake into a tree stump complete with a picnic comprising of jam sandwiches and birthday cake. You will then decorate the board and tree stump with grass and flowers and complete the cake by making three teddy bears to sit round the tree.
You do not need any cake decorating experience to achieve this cake, infact if you look at the class pictures above and the pictures on the group class page some of the students had never even iced a cake before so there is no need to feel worried that you can’t make your cake look as good. If you’ve tried to make models from books before and just couldn’t do it, you will be amazed that once you have been shown you will wonder why you couldn’t do it before. Some students family members have been so impressed with their loved ones cake that they have been accused of showing them my cake and lmaking me take their disaster home with me.
Everything in your class is provided including, including the cake, icing and use of all my tools. All you need to have is a Apron.
